Updated October 2026 by Wednesfield Trade Windows & Doors, a Willenhall window and door company. We’ve ranked ourselves first; every figure here is sourced.
This guide compares Everest, a national window brand, against the best independent installers in Wolverhampton. Everest, Anglian and Safestyle are in fact the same company trading under three names, so a local quote too gives you a genuine second opinion. Below: what Everest offers today, then ten local firms worth a quote alongside it.

*Google ratings and review counts from a Google Maps search for “double glazing wolverhampton” on 21 October 2026. “Trading since” is the Companies House incorporation year. A year in brackets after “says” is the firm’s own founding claim. “(stated)” means we couldn’t match a company record, so the year is the firm’s own claim.
Local vs national: what changes when you choose a Wolverhampton firm
Everest’s website says it is a trading name of ASHI Group Limited (Companies House 02540020), the same company behind Anglian and Safestyle.
- Who you deal with. Everest uses a design consultant, then a separate technical surveyor (Everest’s website, October 2026). A local firm like ours puts you with the owners from first call to final check.
- Seeing the product first. Everest lists no showroom near Wolverhampton. Several independents below, including our Willenhall showroom, have one you can walk into.
- Local knowledge. Most Wolverhampton homes are more than 40 years old, often with bays and curved heads that a guide price doesn’t reflect.
- Aftercare. A local firm answers its own phone rather than routing you through a national call centre.
- A genuine extra quote. Two national brands under one owner isn’t much of a comparison; an independent gives you a separate price and standard.

| Trustpilot | 2.6 out of 5 from 13,514 reviews, 22 Oct 2026 (Trustpilot) |
Strengths: published guide prices, an insurance-backed guarantee, and one firm covering uPVC, timber, aluminium and conservatories (Everest’s website, October 2026).
What to check: only 206 of its 13,514 Trustpilot reviews are from the last 12 months, and recent reviewers flag price rises after survey and slow callbacks (Trustpilot).
How we picked the Wolverhampton alternatives
Every firm here was checked on 21 October 2026 for an active trading record, coverage of Wolverhampton, full window and door installs rather than glass-only or repair-only work, and public reviews we could read in full. Unless linked, claims about products, accreditations, showrooms and founding dates come from each firm’s own website, read on that date, and we haven’t checked the FENSA or CERTASS registers. Ratings move every week, so check the live figures before you book anyone, us included.
The 10+ best Everest alternatives in Wolverhampton
1. Wednesfield Trade Windows & Doors (Willenhall): best for dealing with the owners, not a sales team

| Who you deal with | The owners, from first call to final check |

| Showroom | Neachells Lane, Willenhall WV13 3RG. Dog-friendly |
| Products | uPVC and aluminium windows, composite, uPVC and aluminium doors, bifolds, lantern roofs, warm roofs |
Compare our written quote against Everest’s guide price, then see the actual uPVC windows and aluminium windows in the showroom. We fit composite doors, buildable in our composite door designer, and aluminium bifold doors for the back of the house. For a conservatory or orangery, see Tettenhall or Leamore below; we fit lantern roofs and warm roofs instead. Our 61 Google reviews are a smaller base than some firms here, and we have no Trustpilot profile.
2. Tettenhall Windows & Conservatories (WV6): best for conservatories with a big review record
Tettenhall has the most Google reviews of any independent here, 4.9 from 585, and a refurbished showroom on Aldersley Road. Its company dates from 2001 (Companies House 04155356), though it says it was established in 1994, and its range runs from windows and doors to conservatories, orangeries and extensions.
Good to know: we couldn’t find a stated guarantee length or accreditation; ask for both in writing.
3. Castle Windows (Midlands), Bloxwich: best for Which? vetting
Castle is an endorsed Which? Trusted Trader with 5.0 from 307 reviews (Which?) and 4.9 on Google from 60. It was incorporated in 2010 (Companies House 07251735), names Wolverhampton among its areas, and gives a 10-year guarantee on window and door glazing installations.
Good to know: we couldn’t confirm a showroom.
4. DW Windows (Coseley): best if review volume matters most to you
DW has the biggest Trustpilot following of any independent here, 4.8 from 1,544 reviews (Trustpilot), plus 4.6 on Google from 264. Founded by Dave Walters in 2006 (Companies House 05867859), it gives a 10-year guarantee plus a separate 10-year insurance-backed policy.
Good to know: it closed its Sedgley and Stafford Road showrooms in 2024, so Coseley is now the only one to visit.
5. Leamore Windows (Bloxwich): best for seeing frames made locally
Leamore is the oldest company here by incorporation date, 1983 (Companies House 01706961), and says it has made its own frames and sealed units since the mid-1980s. It holds 4.7 on Google from 470 and 4.6 on Trustpilot from 69 (Trustpilot), and offers insurance-backed guarantees through Fair Trades.
Good to know: it’s based in Walsall, though it lists Wolverhampton on its areas page, and we couldn’t find a stated guarantee length.
6. Bloxwich Windows (Bloxwich): best for repairs alongside new frames
Bloxwich Windows scores 5.0 on Google from 251 reviews, the highest score with a large review count in our search. Incorporated in 2005 (Companies House 05389127), it’s CERTASS registered with an insurance-backed guarantee from QANW, and handles repairs as well as new windows and doors.
Good to know: its website covers “the West Midlands” but doesn’t name Wolverhampton on the pages we read; check it covers your postcode.
7. Universal Trade Windows (Ettingshall): best for straightforward uPVC in the city
Universal has a strong record for a younger firm, 4.6 on Google from 479 reviews, incorporated in 2016 (Companies House 10371088). It’s FENSA registered, gives a 10-year guarantee, and fits uPVC and sash windows, composite and patio doors, porches and conservatory roof replacements.
Good to know: we couldn’t confirm a showroom, and no other review platform turned up.
8. EnergySeal Windows and Doors (Cannock Road): best for tiled roof conversions
EnergySeal scores 4.9 on Google from 103 reviews and has a showroom on Cannock Road, WV10. It fits REHAU uPVC and aluminium windows, composite doors and bifolds, converts old conservatories to tiled roofs, and is FENSA registered with a 10-year guarantee.
Good to know: it says it has traded since 1999, but the current company was incorporated in 2022 (Companies House 14500385); check the company name on your contract.
9. Ashmore Glass & Mirrors (Essington): best for replacement glass
Ashmore was incorporated in 1997 (Companies House 03395941) and says it manufactures in Wolverhampton for trade and homeowners. It scores 4.8 on Google from 70 reviews, says it is FENSA registered, and also replaces misted glass, which can save a whole frame.
Good to know: its showroom was marked “temporarily closed” when we checked, and it doesn’t state a guarantee length.
10. Belle View Windows & Doors (Park Village): best for a founder-led maker
Belle View says it was founded in 1983, started in a garage, and is still led by the same founder, making its own windows, doors and glass at its factory. It scores 4.7 on Google from 34 reviews and says its installations are CERTASS approved (Belle View’s website, October 2026).
Good to know: we couldn’t confidently match Belle View to a Companies House record, so ask which company your contract and guarantee will be with.
11. WSL Windows (Blackhalve Lane): best for windows plus roof work
WSL, incorporated in 2019 (Companies House 11861825), scores 4.5 on Google from 71 reviews. As well as uPVC and aluminium windows and doors, it does conservatories, roofline and EPDM flat roofs, with a 10-year warranty it says includes hardware.
Good to know: we couldn’t confirm a showroom, so ask where you can see the products before you order.

What windows cost in Wolverhampton in 2026
There’s no Wolverhampton price list, so here are national cost guides next to Everest’s own figure, as a sense check rather than a quote.
| Item | Everest guide | MyJobQuote | Checkatrade |
|---|---|---|---|
| White uPVC casement, fitted | £700 to £1,800 (Everest’s website, October 2026) | £350 to £600 (MyJobQuote, Jul 2026) | £500 to £1,250 (Checkatrade, May 2026) |
| Bay window | About double a casement (Everest’s website, October 2026) | Not compared | Not compared |
| 3-bed home, all windows | Not published | £4,000 to £6,000 (uPVC, 3-bed semi, 6 to 10 windows) | £8,000 to £15,000 (typical 3-bed house, 8 to 12 windows) |
Guide ranges hide differences in size, glass, colour and hardware, so the only fair test is quotes for the same windows. One regional study puts a Midlands uPVC casement at about £475 and a 10-window semi at about £5,000, level with the national average (ExpertSure, Mar 2026).
What Wolverhampton homes need
- A lot of interwar housing. 26.0% of Wolverhampton’s 114,190 homes were built between 1919 and 1939, against roughly 14.8% across England; adding the pre-1919 stock, 37.2% predate 1945 (VOA Council Tax stock of properties 2025, table CTSOP4.1). Bays and curved heads are common in this stock, and that’s where a guide price is least useful.
- Four in five homes predate 1983. About 80.8% of the city’s homes are more than 40 years old (same source).
- More than half of homes with an EPC are below band C. Only 46.67% of Wolverhampton homes with a valid certificate are rated C or above, against 53.28% across England (ONS, 2025). Every window we fit is A-rated, one band above the legal minimum of band B.
Five checks before you sign with anyone
- Part L sets a floor. Replacement windows in England must reach a U-value of 1.4 W/m²K or a Window Energy Rating of band B, under Approved Document L, Table 4.2 (GOV.UK). Ask what rating you’re being quoted.
- Get the certificate. A FENSA or CERTASS installer can self-certify and must give you a certificate within 8 weeks of finishing (GOV.UK). Without one, building control sign-off runs £200 to £400 (MyJobQuote).
- Read the cancellation terms. Signing at home normally gives you 14 days to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 (legislation.gov.uk), but check for a made-to-measure exclusion.
- Ask who backs your guarantee. The GGF’s Deposit Indemnity Fund stopped taking new deposits in March 2020 (Glass Times). Get the insurer named, and pay part by credit card for Section 75 cover (£100 to £30,000).
- Be wary of a price that drops on the sofa. Which? warns about quotes that start high and fall during the visit if you sign there and then (Which?, Sept 2026).
Questions people ask about Everest
Is Everest more expensive than a local installer?
Everest’s guide price for a white uPVC casement, £700 to £1,800 fitted, starts above the two main cost guides: £350 to £600 (MyJobQuote) and £500 to £1,250 (Checkatrade). Sizes and specs differ, so the only fair test is a written quote from each side for the same windows.
Do local firms offer insurance-backed guarantees?
Some do. DW Windows, Leamore Windows, EnergySeal, Bloxwich Windows and WSL Windows all state an insurance-backed guarantee or show a scheme logo on their own websites. Ask any installer, Everest included, to confirm in writing who backs the guarantee.
Are Everest reviews good?
It depends which number you look at. Everest holds 2.6 out of 5 on Trustpilot from 13,514 reviews, yet 69% of those are five stars, and only 206 were posted in the last 12 months (Trustpilot, 22 Oct 2026). Read a sample of recent reviews alongside the older ones.
Does Everest have a showroom near Wolverhampton?
Not that we could find; Everest’s website lists no showroom addresses. Its sister brand Anglian points Wolverhampton customers to a garden-centre showroom in Shirley, Solihull (Anglian’s website, October 2026), while several independents here, including our Willenhall showroom, have one you can visit.
